    Hi,

By monetizing, do you mean ad revenue, merchandising, or something else entirely? Regardless, the answer to all these questions is yes; the hosting service for your domain name should not affect your content.

A few useful services you might want to look into:
Jetpack is a marketing and security suite that integrates with WordPress sites, and has features for entrepreneurs of all levels: https://jetpack.com/features/
and if you’re looking to start a storefront, you might want to look into WooCommerce: https://woocommerce.com/features/

    Best of luck!

  • Hi there,

What exactly are you trying to do?

If you want to use a domain you bought from GoDaddy with your WordPress.com site, you’ll need a paid plan to connect it, and then you can apply to our WordAds program to monetize your site.

    Monetize Your Site

If you are using that domain with a self-hosted site hosted with GoDaddy, you can also use WordAds, but that will require the Jetpack plugin along with a Jetpack Premium or Professional plan.
