Monotone – colours all shades of brown.
-
I’m using the new Monotone theme (which is a great concept) however the colours that my theme is matching with are all in the brown shades which is pretty boring.
I know my photos have a lot of creamy colours in them but there are some vibrant ones too. In fact I posted one with some very bright orange and my theme is just tan.
Suggestions?

I’m not much of a coder. Actually I assumed that the colours would automatically change to match the photo. Isn’t that the point of this theme? I certainly didn’t expect them to stay all brown.

Yes, it is the point of the theme. You don’t need to do any coding. Others seem to have had similar problems in the first few days of using the theme and then found it begins to work better (no idea why).

You do only have four pictures uploaded and although there are some bright colours in them, I can see why the theme has picked out browns. I don’t know that there’s anyway of changing that, given the topic of your blog! You might try photoshopping your photos before uploading to give them a brighter look.

Thanks, I have brightened them up a bit. Tried to bring out the blue tones and reduce the reds. It helped a bit but not much. Hopefully my photos will improve with practice (and better lighting!) and that will help.
