Monotone theme
-
Hi,
I use the Monotone theme for photoblogging. This works perfect on my Mac, but there seems to be a problem on PC’s. On my Mac, I can click on any picture in the Archive and it will open the picture page and from there I can proceed forward or go back with the arrows to other pictures. On PC’s the picture page doesn’t open when you click on the thumbnail in the Archive. You can right-click to ‘open link’, but a lot of users won’t realise that. So PC users will just go to the Archive page and see the thumbnails, but they will think that they can’t see the larger images. I hope somebody can help

What browser are you using?
FWIW-I’m using a PC with FireFox, the archived picture opens fine when I click on it in my Monotone photoblog and there are arrows pointing forwards and back.
And a heads up to Support: for anyone using IE6, something funky’s going on. No thumbnail is clickable at all.

You’re right – I just tried on my PC with Firefox and that works fine. The problem remains for Internet Explorer users though, which i think is a majority.

Interesting result, but I doubt the poll would be representative. People voting on it are very computer literate web surfers, that make actual decisions about which browser they want to use. Not necessarily the people like older family etc I might want to share picture with with a photo blog.

This is definitely a change. It used to work in IE.
Honestly I suggest dropping a feedback note to Support. They most likely won’t pick it up from the forums.

Thanks. Support is looking into it. Apparently it works in IE if you click on the border around the picture. I hope they can sort it out!

There’s a border? :-> Thanks for coming back and letting us know and that it’s being looked into.

Looks like it’s been sorted out. Thanks a lot! I’m new on WordPress and I’m very impressed with the support.
