  Can i run ads on my wordpress blog when i update to the personal plan?

  Hi there!

  You can only use third-party ad networks like Google AdSense, OpenX, Lijit, BuySellAds, and Vibrant Media, or selling advertising space on your site if you upgrade to the Business or eCommerce plan.

  I am not talking about third party ads, i want to run ads from wordpress itself on my blog on the personal plan upgrade, is it possible?

  So adding image ads and affiliate links to your WordPress.com site? If so, yes, we do allow sites to use affiliate links with all plans, in any form such as text or images. We also do allow sponsored posts and paid-for ads relevant to your site’s content.

  However, we do not allow sites whose primary purpose is to drive traffic to external affiliate links or who promote their site or affiliate links through comment and forum spam. So, if we see a site with poor quality content and a whole bunch of Amazon affiliate images, for example, that would be considered spam – which is against our Terms of Service.

  Although you can monetize your blog using affiliate text links, we do not allow affiliate links to the following types of sites:

  • “Get Rich Quick”/Work from Home

  Hello there,

  The personal plan isn’t eligible for WordAds.

  The site would need the Premium, Business and eCommerce plans. If your site has one of our legacy plans, it is available on the Pro plan.
