    I was hoping to arrange monthly payments instead of doing it annually.

    Click on Upgrades/Plans then top middle there is a box saying “pay yearly”. Next to that is an arrow you can toggle to get monthly. I don’t advise paying monthly for a plan here though. The months come round quickly and soon a year has passed and you will have paid much more than you could have done. If you can’t afford to pay yearly, perhaps manage with a free site until you have enough funds to pay for an annual plan. An annual plan includes a custom domain free for the first year too. You’d need to pay extra for that with a monthly plan.
