  I’m trying to sign up but you are asking for $399 – I want to make monthly payments – how do I do this?

  WordPress.com plans are paid annually. There are no monthly purchases, whatsoever.

  As @strikebuys mentioned, that all plans on WordPress.com are billed yearly.

  And you mentioned:

  If you are referring to US dollars, the Business Plan should be $299, and there are lower plans available including the Personal, Premium plans. You can see the full plans and features + pricing here.

  This also explains (as stated in Support article):

  Your WordPress.com plans and any domains you add to your sites are based on a yearly subscription that renews automatically.
