More and more posts keep loading on the front page

    Dear support,
something weird has happened to my blog. My frontpage contains my posts, and in Settings->Reading I have 15 posts set. However, every time sombody opened my blog today, they have seen that more and more posts keep loading. I checked it, and saw that the further I move down, the more posts keep appearing, instead of the usual “older posts” button. This is really annoying because it takes ages for the blog to load, and – even worse – the “older” button is not there anylonger. Can something be done about this?

    Thanks!

    Howdy,

We’re launching a new feature called infinite scroll that makes it easier for your readers to read your work.

Instead of having to scroll and click through to different pages, they can scroll and pull new content automatically.

We’re working on improving performance — could you please let us know what browser you’re using, along with its version number? It would also be helpful if you could include your operating system and its version number as well.

You might also try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies:

Finally, please make sure you’re running the latest version of your browser:

Don’t hesitate to contact us again if you need anymore help. :-)

Hmm, at home, I’m using a Windows 10.0 Firefox browser on Windows XP Home ed., at work the browser is the 7.0 Firefox and Internet Explorer 8 – I experience the above-mentioned problem with all browsers though. I think it would be great if, in the future, the feature was optional (like, it could be chosen at Settings->Reading). I personally prefer the good old “Older posts” button…

    Have a nice day! :)
