More break (br) tags inserted in source code (sourcecode) tags
-
Since none of the engineers reacted on https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/spurious-break-br-inserted-into-posts, I’m feeling sad especially since I’m paying for this service and it takes hours to manually restore posts to what they were.
Please have someone make me a bit more happy by inspecting http://wiert.wordpress.com/wp-admin/revision.php?revision=14059 and explaining why the
<br/)tags and gt/lt stuff got inserted and how to easily restore those to how they should be.Thanks!

Just found out that some of those posts also have (%%KEEPWHITESPACE%%) artefacts that are time consuming to fix.
It seems this got messed up a long time ago, also for people on the non-supported site: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/code-and-preformatted-text-mess-up-

Some other posts from paid WordPress.com blogs that suffer from this:

Hi Jeroen,
This is a known issue, and you can read more about it here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/why-does-the-sourcecode-tag-chew-up-formatted-source-code-1?replies=22There’s currently a team working on improvements to the TinyMCE post editor, and while I don’t have an exact timeline for when they will land, we’re hoping these improvements will help with this issue.
I will keep you updated if I have more information about it.

Thanks. Note that the serious instability of WordPress makes me wonder if I should stay with you. Just take a look at my forum posts to see what I bumped into and what still isn’t fixed. And I’ve not even reported all the span and YouTube mess as I cannot reproduce it at will.
For now I’ve moved over all new source code posts to use gists. That seems to work better, but is a hassle.
