More featured items on homepage with Sketch?

With the Sketch theme, is there a way to increase the number of featured items on the home page?
Right now it looks like the maximum is 10, but I would like it to display ALL of my projects with infinite scroll, which was mentioned as a feature of this theme. But I can’t figure out how to do it. I don’t want to make people have to click ten times to see them all (I’m planning to add 100+ projects).

In a word “no” there is no way to increase that number without a custom design upgrade and I don’t think you can increase it with one. Please use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get a definitive answer to your question.

Do you understand that this is a multiuser blogging platform and what that means is every blog wearing the same theme uses the same underlying template? This is the detailed theme description page link http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sketch/ and the the template is here http://sketchdemo.wordpress.com/
We bloggers cannot access the templates and edit them. Here at WordPress. COM, only Staff can edit templates as every edit affects every blog wearing the same theme. Featured posts are meant to be few in number. There is no theme here that allows one to feature 100 posts.

All I was asking was if there was an option to increase the number of featured posts. Even 15 or 12 would be better than 10, which looks bad when they’re set 3 across, so one sits by itself at the bottom. Somehow the Sketch demo has 9 on the homepage, even though there are 12 in all.

Wait! How many posts have you set to display on this page > Settings > Reading?
Blog pages show at most __ posts
Have you enabled infinite scroll on that page?

Hey thanks. I just tried increasing that number. 50 seems to be the max. But the site looks the same. Maybe it only applies to posts and not projects. No footer widgets that might prevent the infinite scroll. Hmm. I’ll keep poking around.

Hi there,
While the Portfolio system works very similar to posts, it isn’t quite the same. Infinite scroll isn’t something which has been rolled out for the projects/portfolios taxonomy and may not be. Similarly, adjusting the maximum number of posts per page cannot be done via the Settings. The only way to control how the projects are displayed are via the Portfolio shortcode:

Thanks for the reply. I’ll poke around with the short codes and see what happens. I might just have to live with it not doing what I wanted. Not the end of the world. The Sketch theme still has a lot going for it.
