More “phantom page views” ?

  For the last week or so, I’ve seen a massive (approx 10-20x) increase in the daily blog views for my Manchester Postgraduate Careers blog (http://manchesterpgcareers.wordpress.com).

  No significant increase in referrals, or post views or clicks – just a big spike in total views. Much as I’d like to think our postgrads have suddenly woken up to the need to get their careers in gear, I’m suspicious. There were a couple of others who seemed to have similar problems recently (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/hundreds-of-phantom-page-views) but don’t know if they were resolved.

  Any ideas?
