More Portfolio Type Help (Esp. in Illustratr Theme)
-
Hi!
I found this forum <i>mostly</i> helpful but do have some additional questions (paging alexjgustafson!!!).
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/portfolio-pages-1?replies=10You can see on my site lazyac.wordpress.com that I have a homepage of nicely tessellated photos as portfolio projects. At the moment, this is because my home/front page is set to the Portfolio Page Template.
What I would like is another page of similarly tessellated gifs. Per the earlier forum I linked to, I was able to figure out how to get my pages to display only <i>certain</i> projects, by Project Type, with the Default Template.
However, there were some issues when I did that. When I categorized my photos as Project Type PHOTO, and used the code “[portfolio include_type=photo]” to display them on the home page, they were all displayed with the word PHOTO underneath them. I didn’t like how this looked at all. Is there a way to get projects to be displayed without their Project Type written underneath?
Also, the layout wasn’t nearly as aesthetically appealing with this method. The photos were displayed two (rather than three) across, and they weren’t really tessellated at all, leaving awkward gaps between them.
<b>In short:</b>
<b>1)</b> Can you assign projects a type without having that type show up below the featured image on the page itself?
<b>2)</b> Is there any way to mirror Portfolio Page Template formatting of projects/featured images in the Default Template? (I think I may have just remembered seeing a reference to “Masonry script” in another forum at some point?)Thank you so much!
