More Site Customization?

  Dear WordPress Community,

  I am incredibly grateful for this site and it’s features, but would like an idea of how far a person with a free account can really go… are there custom templates other than the other ones recommended by WordPress? Is there any ones best for a beginner to get acclimated with?
  Please share thoughts!

  Hello!

  That is a good question!

  Here is a link that will show you all the themes available with the WordPress.com Free plan:

  Going further to recommend what might work well for a beginner, I suggest looking at the more recent themes that are made to complement the WordPress block editor:
  https://wordpress.com/themes/free/filter/block-editor-styles

  You may get other advice as people add to this thread, but in my opinion, these themes will help a beginner get the most out of the Free plan.

  Good luck! I encourage to spend some quality time exploring and experimenting with different themes for your site.
