More tag causes reader to skip text

When I use the More tag and the reader clicks Continue reading, they are taken to a point that is several lines lower down than where they actually stopped reading.

This is because the admin bar and the masthead are fixed. It’s also a problem on my mobile, even though the admin bar and masthead do not display there, because the mobile browser itself has a bar at the top that fades away after a few seconds of inactivity.

    I have two questions:

    1. Can I lodge a request that WordPress make the link go several lines higher in order to make the transition better? I do realise this has a lot of implications and you can’t do it for me within the normal support period, I just want your team to consider it in future.

    2. I have changed the position of the admin bar and masthead from fixed to relative. They still display at the top of the page, but when the reader scrolls down they don’t continue to appear at the top of the screen. Can you confirm that this is permitted? Would the situation be different if I were not paying for Premium?

    Thanks!

I see that you have moved over to HostGator:

    I have noted your suggestions.

    Thank you!
