more tag – 'continue reading'

  On my blog I have a post on m front page ‘photo-sharing with english language learners’ which insists on cutting off as if I were using the ‘more tag’ but I’m not.

  Very strange and very annoying indeed. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?

  thanks I’ve resolved the problem now. But an interesting find. I had named one of my categories as ‘gallery’ as a kind of showcase for students’ work. Well all posts I categorised as gallery were treated as ‘gallery posts’ therefore’ only the summary appeared on the screen.

  I believe Twenty Ten is the only theme where that occurs, as well as the Asides category. It’s because these were introduced in that theme before post formats became the norm.
