More Tag (CSS)
-
Hello,
I would like to add a more tag on one of the pages of my blog:
https://oaklandsedinburgh.com/classes/nursery/That way I would be able to show the latest month news and when you click on the more tag you can see the previous months information.
I’ve been following this tutorial:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/
It doesnt work. I don’t know if it’s beacause my theme doesn’t support it or what I’m doing wrong… I already asked about it in a different section of the forum but I didn’t get any answers. Is there any way of doing it with CSS??Thanks in advance
David P.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The “More” tag is really designed for Posts rather than Pages. In the support doc you linked to it says:-
“Using the More Tag in Pages
The More Tag can be used in pages, but the split will only be visible in certain themes, for example those that display content from pages on the home page.”Does that apply in your case?

@thesacredpath. Of course. After eight years I’m still learning something new about WordPress every day. I wonder why the “more tag” support page didn’t also mention that.
PS: I couldn’t get your link to work properly. I assume it was this one.

Thanks for the heads up on the link. Not sure how that happened. Copy/paste failz! I’ve corrected the link.
Thanks also to the alert on the more tag support page. I have that on my list now to edit and update to include a link to the Pagination support page.

I’ve updated the More Tag page to include a reference to Pagination. Again, thanks for alerting me to that.
