More Tag glitch?

Lately, when I input the “More Tag” into a post, when I go back to the main page of my blog the “Continue reading” link that usually appears disappears. When I remove the tag, the link appears again. Has anyone else been experiencing this? I didn’t mess with the CSS so I don’t know why it’s doing that…

Are your referring to the blog linked to your username wearing the Fresh & Clean theme which automatically provides excerpts only on the front page of the blog? What exactly are you trying to achieve? Please be descriptive.

The “Continue reading” link is the automatically produced one (because the theme is designed to display excerpts, as timethief said). The manually inserted more tag doesn’t work in this theme. If you want a different excerpt than the automatically produced one, plus the “Continue reading” link, you need to type or copypaste the excerpt in the Excerpt module of the post editor. If you’re seeing no Excerpt module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right) to enable it.
