''More'' tag in a main page

    I’m using the theme Gateway. Is it possible for me to have a main page that contains a part of my most recent posts? I want a small list with just a few lines of each post as a MAIN page, but I don’t know if I can do that. And, if possible, can I introduce some text for it to appear over the posts? Thanks.
