more tag in comments

  for editing commnets(not posts) there are some ready html options, when I insert “more”tag within a long comment, it has no effect? although there is a<!–more–> in the text .what is the problem?

  Only a very few tags are allowed in comments. You can see a list of them on the comment box usually.
