‘more’ tag in post doesn’t work

  I’m having problems with the more tags in posts – it just doesn’t work. I insert the tag, put text after the tag that’s supposed to be hidden under the tag and when I click publish all the text appears, without any trace of the more tag. I’ve checked the html and the tag is definitely there. How can I solve this??

  I deleted the post because it was way too big without the more tag working. It would have flooded my blog as it were, pushing out all the other entries.
