More tag not working?
-
I inserted a more tag in my post but when I view the post it is still on the page in its entirety. Am I doing something wrong? I want my front page to show summaries of my posts, and links to click to read the entire post elsewhere.
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every post I see on your front page of your blog has “the more tag” inserted into it, and is displaying and excerpt followed by “Read the rest of this entry »”
I am using a Firefox 3.6 browser and suspect you are viewing a cached copy. Please try these troublehooting techniques and then log in and view your blog again. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

The problem is, you’re looking at the exact post, not the main blog page. Your More tag is functioning correctly, it’s just that you’re looking at what people see after they click the More tag. See for yourself:

You must view your blog’s homepage/frontpage in order to see the “more” tag at work. It won’t appear in the Post itself.
If you need to break an especially long Post into several subpages, you might want to try pagination. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/nextpage/

I was almost third here saying the same thing. I went way and then had a “lightbulb” moment … lol :D
