“more…” tag not working

    hi. i am trying to insert a “more” tag into my long posts. what i want is for only an excerpt to show on the home page, and for readers to be able to access the rest of the post, by clicking “More…”. i followed faq instructions, but although the page i inserted shows up on the editing screen, the post does not seem to change on the main page. i don’t see the “More” split and the entire post is displayed. what am i doing wrong?

    It doesn’t appear in the “preview” mode but it will be there. :)
