more tag not working

Until a few weeks ago I was able to use the more tag. This allowed me to give just the beginning of a post. It also worked on the emails notifications of the new post. It no longer works. The code is correctly in the text version. (I even put it in twice). But the post and the email notification both show up in toto.

You are not the first person to have reported this. I’m afraid we haven’t nailed down what’s causing it.
What browser and version are you using, and are you using the Visual or Text editor.

It is the same whether I use Explorer or Chrome.
I use both the Visual and Text Editor. Material is added in through the Word transfer and then edited. The posts have the appropriate <!–more–> code when seen in the text editor. I have put this in directly rather than through the tag in the visual editor.

Thanks. It’s an eagle’s eye moon, done in the style of Roy Henry Vickers. He says he likes it, which was nice of him.

We had several reports of the More tag not working, but our developers addressed the issues and they appear to have been resolved.
Your site at creatureandcreator.ca is not hosted by WordPress.com, and I don’t see any sites hosted at WordPress.com under your username. Is this this site you were having issues with, or are you referring to another site? Please keep in mind that you have reached support for sites on WordPress.com, so if you are having difficulties with a site hosted elsewhere we may not be able to resolve the issue for you.
