More Tag on Static Pages
-
Hey,
I’m having real trouble getting the ‘more’ tag to work…I want to use it on several static pages where I’ll be publishing MP3 files for download. The files are DJ mixes, so they have a track-listing containing 15 – 20 lines of text. I was hoping to use the ‘more’ tag to hide the track-listings…
Can anyone help me with this, or mayhbe suggest an alternative?
Thanks!

Yes. Pages, you see, never show on your main blog page. They never exist in a “stream” of other posts, so there’s less reason for this to be required. You COULD make two pages, and make one a sub-page of the other, etc, etc, fifteen times, but that would be really tedious.
There is no “click to expand/click to hide” option on WP.com, just the page jump option.

You could also use
<!--nextpage-->by typing it into the HTML editor. You can use this tag as many times as you want to split one “page” up into several pages.
