MORE Tag, PAGE Tag not working !!!

    Hello

    How come this strange MORE Tag is not working at all?
    I want to split a long text by inserting <!– more –> somewhere in my text. In Visual Modus, I can see the word more on the right of the WP window.

    But in Preview, not the slightest MORE is visible. What went wrong? Some years back, I used it. Sometimes, it worked, sometimes, not. And now, this MORE Tag is useless to me.

    I remember having had the same trouble using the PAGE Tag too. Not working.
    What can I do to split a long text? Thanks !

    Nothing went wrong. The more tag and the next-page tag work when you view the main page of your blog, not when you view a single post.
