Morse Code Translator Page Not Working Correctly on WordPress.com (JavaScript Is

I’m running a Morse code translator website on WordPress. com, and I’m facing an issue where the translator tool does not function as expected. The page loads, but the JavaScript-based Morse code conversion (text to Morse and Morse to text) does not respond when users enter input.
This feature was working previously, but it stopped functioning after a recent theme customization and content update. I’m using a WordPress.com plan that supports custom HTML and JavaScript embeds, and the script is added via a Custom HTML block.
There are no visible error messages on the frontend, but the translator fails silently. I suspect the issue may be related to script restrictions, theme compatibility, or recent changes on the WordPress.com platform. What I’ve Tried So Far:
- Clearing cache and testing in incognito mode
- Re-adding the Custom HTML block with the JavaScript code
- Switching to another compatible theme
- Testing the page on different browsers and devices
Questions:
- Are there limitations on running custom JavaScript tools on WordPress.com pages?
- Could recent platform or theme updates affect embedded scripts?
- Is there a recommended way to implement interactive tools like a Morse code translator on WordPress.com?
Please guide me as I am not a technical person. Any suggestions or best practices from the community would be very helpful. Thank you!

We can’t help as that site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform – https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/https://themorsecodetranslator.net
You could start by contacting support of that plugin or the person who wrote that script
