Most Invitations still waiting

  I’m helping with a private blog & noticed that ppl aren’t accepting the invitations. Over 500 have been sent to ppl in the last 2 months who requested to view the blog, but only 150 are viewers now. I myself noticed that i had to be resent the invite for the link to work. Those r pretty bad odds.

  & resending all the invites was NOT easy. Wishing for better list management! If more could be shown on the page or it kept ur place while u resent instead of going back to the beginning would be much more useful. Am i missing something in the controls? Also wish the box where u write ur own message for the invites could be customized to keep ur set message.

  & lastly, i don’t see a way to invite ppl as ‘followers’ like it shows in the help instructions, only ‘viewers’.

  Oddly enough, some people are just hitting the button to request an invitation with no intention of actually visiting the blog. Or, at least having a few private sites myself, that’s the nearest I can gather. Even emailing them directly nets no reply. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  You could certainly try re-sending the invitation, and we’ll look into making that better, but personally I’d recommend just deleting the not-accepted invitations. If they really want an invitation, they’ll ask again at some point.

  Thanks, that’s true. They were all email requests though. Makes me wonder if ppl just don’t want to sign up for an account. Right now, i don’t understand why i can’t find how many “viewers” there r (now that i know the difference between viewer & followers). Is there a way to see that list? & does one delete all the invites, including the accepted ones? I tried to find info on that, but didn’t succeed. Thanks again for ur help ☺

  The viewers of your private blog are listed at Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard.

  Thank you!! So it’s ok to delete accepted invitations? Really wishing for a select all button right now…
