Most of my etc. elements were stripped out!

    In the HTML editor, I had a long list that used several hundred <dt></dt><dd></dt> tags.

    I went to the visual editor just to add a link to another page. When I returned to the HTML editor, most of these tags were stripped out and many of the entries were strung together without white space.

    Essentially this negated several hours of work and necessitates several hours more to add the elements back. How do I prevent this stripping-out of elements from happening again?
