Most of My Pages Went To Trash

For some reason when I got on my site, all but a couple of the Pages were there… When I looked at the Dashboard, the missing Pages were in the Trash… So I took them out of the Trash, and republished them.
How can this happen? Should I be worried about being Hacked?
And now they’re all out of Order, even thought They’re Order Number is still there… And when I try to change the Order, it isn’t helping?
Any help would be Appreciated

Looks like the Pages are in Alphabetical Order instead of going by the Number inside the Page Set up.

Figured out the Page Order thing, the Widget was set wrong, I fixed that… So the only thing I’m wondering is how it might have happened?
And whether it was someone Hacking the Site, or System Glitch.
Any Info would be helpful, Thanks

Hi there,
Are you referring to the blog linked to your username?
have you created only Pages and set the order numerically in the Page attributes module on them?
Or have you created a custom menu that includes Categories and Tags pages and custom links in it? If you have created a custom menu check the Pages and sub-pages themselves to see if you have established a Parent page and child page “hierarchical structure” in the page attributes module. Remove if required. Also remove any “order” numbers you have assigned that may conflict with the order you are creating by dropping and dragging. Or simply change them so they are the same order as you establish in the menu. Establish consistency – problem solved. -
It’s not a Custom Menu… I have like 19 Pages on that Site (yeah, the one linked to my username sorry about that). These are just Pages I’ve added along the way, and inside each of them I have Indicated an Order Number.
I just got on and WHAM, like 17 of them were gone, and they were all in the Trash… So like I say, I pulled em out of Trash, and Republished them.
It’s all Fixed now, my only concern is if it’s a Hacking thing, like someone got on my Account and threw most of my Pages in the Trash. Hopefully it was just a Glitch, it’s all working now, but I thought I should let WordPress know.

Well I’m glad you were able to rescue the pages. Did you switch themes and then have this happen? Maybe you should let Staff know about this.

Nah, I didn’t switch Themes. I just jumped on the Site, and they were gone. Really weird, I’ll let them know, thanks
