I built a parent page with 3 child pages (Membership page with 3 benefits for being a member). Basically, I’d like a intro to a child page from the parent page. Then additional info and resources once you click on the child.
Child pages appearing on the parent grid seem to show all of the info that is typed in the child page not just an intro to it. How can I solve this issue?
E.g. Membership is parent page. Job Board is a benefit (one child page). Click on job board and a list of jobs show up. What is happening is that all jobs are showing up on grid in parent page.
Any ideas for solving this?

Looks like you are getting an automatically generated excerpt instead of displaying a manual one. Add an excerpt to your Jobs page and if that changes things on the Members Only page.
You may need to turn on Excerpt under Screen Options if it is not present on your Page Edit screen.

I checked excerpts under screen options but nothing happened. I did a little more research and it looks like excerpts only work with posts but not with pages which is what I would need.

On self-hosted installs, you can have plugins that allow pages to have excerpts.
Since this is WordPress.com, I would be inclined to agree with you but I also have a little doubt as well.

The fact that you’re reporting that you were able to check on Excerpts on a Page Edit Screen leads me to believe that it might be possible for some themes to have an exception.
Are you sure an Excerpt module didn’t appear on your Page Edit Screen?
