Motif Theme – can't disable featured image on interior pages

  • Unknown's avatar

    This is what should be a simple question about the Motif theme. Didn’t find the answer in support… On the demo, the interior PAGES did NOT show the header image, but on my site it does show.

    On the pages themselves there is no featured image set.

    There is no option I could see in the editor to disable them for a single page, nor a global option.

    I don’t want the header image to show on any page but the home page.

    Help, please. Thanks.

    Hi Jon,

    You can do this if you edit CSS. Please go to Appearance > Customize > CSS and add this:

    .home .site-image {
    	display: block !important;
    }

    .site-image {
    	display: none;
    }

    This should keep the header image on the Home page, but not on any other page.

    Please note that the Motif demo site is not using a Header image. It is actually using the Front page Template as seen in the support page:

    https://wordpress.com/themes/motif/

    Scroll down to the section that starts with this: The front page template offers three sections to highlight your content:

    Let me know if you have any questions with this!
