Motif Theme how to add a contact from in the side bar

  Motif theme – How do I add a contact from to my side bar? I do not want to the contact info widget. I am a beginner, so simple step-by-step instructions would be appreciated.

  I use the Motif theme and added a contact form to my sidebar by following this process.

  1) From your dashboard go to pages>add new (note: this page will never actually be published, we are just using it as an easy way to get the short codes we need).

  2) at the top of the page you just created, click “add contact form”

  3) the basic form will probably work for your needs, but if not, follow the instructions in the pop up window to make changes.

  4) Click “add this form to my post”.

  5) Copy all of the code that results from the page.

  6) Go to appearance>widgets (ideally in a new tab or window) and add a text widget to your sidebar where you want the contact form to appear.

  7) Paste the code you copied from the previous page into the text widget.

  8) Give your new widget a title and click “save”

  9) Confirm the widget is working as you expected, then go back to the page you created in step 1 and move it to the trash.
