Motif Theme: not able to format the way it is in your demo

    I just switched to the Motif theme. I’m having trouble with a few things:
    1) I’d like the home page to view like it does in the demo, with the image full screen, and without the word HOME on it.
    2) I’d like my blog page to view in your grid format, but it won’t show that way. Could you please take me step by step through how to have it appear in a grid format.
    3) Of most importance, how can I incorporate social media icons into all pages that link to my social media sites. I tried to engineer it for the home page, very unsuccessfully. I had this exact same problem with my previous WordPress theme.
    4) Your “demo” home page also shows Testimonials, Recent Posts, Contact Information, etc at the bottom of the home page. How do I mimic that?
    5) How can I remove the “Meta” from the right-hand column, and
    6) put other things like links to recent blog posts or a link to a newsletter in the right-hand column?

    1. The home page in the demo site has Front Page Template. The Motif theme support document has a section on how to add a Front Page Template.

    2. The Motif theme support document linked above also has information about grid page template. Please check it and post any questions you may have or if some thing is unclear.

    3. Have you checked the Add Social Media Buttons to Your Sidebar or Footer support document.

    4. Please check the information under the image in Front Page Template section of the Motif theme support document.

    5. Meta is a widget which can be removed from Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Expand the sidebars to check which sidebar has this widget and click on Delete button for the Meta widget.

    6. You can also add widgets from the Widgets dashboard screen mentioned in 5. above. You can add Recent Posts widget and other widgets.
