Motion Theme Font Size

  Hi,
  Referring to the Motion theme, I’d like to know if there is a way to resize (or change) the text in posts so that blog entries will be easier to read? The font is rather fine and small.

  The only way to increase font size is by purchasing an annually renewable CSS upgrade and doing that work yourself. Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I recommend that you don’t buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own.

  If you are considering purchasing the upgrade, you can go to Appearance > Edit CSS. There wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try before you buy.

  It can be done on a post by post basis using inline CSS via the HTML tab in the editor.

  Thanks, timethief and thesacredpath. I probably won’t buy the upgrade; I’m still an amateur at a lot of this stuff. I keep challenging myself to learn as much as I can.

  Perhaps if I can’t figure out the inline CSS I’ll buy new reading glasses! I don’t want to change the theme because it’s so attractive. :)

  The inline CSS for doing your post font sizes isn’t difficult.

  1. Write your post and get it just he way you want it.

  2. Right before you publish it, switch to the HTML tab in the editor, make a blank line at the top and put this.

  <div style="font-size: 0.9em;">

  Then go to the end of the post, make a new blank line and put this at the end of it.

  </div>

  The existing font size is 0.8em units, and 0.9em is actually 10% larger and makes quite a difference. You can even do things like 0.85em if you wish.
