    No, I won’t disable adblock or expand my whitelist. I don’t whitelist sites with a predatory interest in violating my Privacy Rights.

    From your description, it does sound like an ad blocker may be set too strict, and might be blocking some of our javascript and/or cookies.

    This wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened, both here, and personally as an occasional ad block user myself.

    The more strict an ad blocker is set, the more chances there are for false-positives, and we have absolutely no control over that, the false-positive would need to be reported to the ad blocker for fixing.

    So, currently my recommendation is to try a less-strict setting, try whitelisting WordPress.com and WordAds.co, or try turning the ad blocker off. You can, of course, set everything back to what it was once the signup is complete.
