Move Blog followers from WordPress.com to self-hosted blog

  My blog was http://www.beginblossoming.wordpress.com with domain mapping to my site URL (blossomingb.com). I have now cutover to a self-hosted blog at wordpress.org using blossomingb.com.

  Please advise how to move subscribers over to new site. I’ve seen some threads where staff take care of this but am not sure if that’s still how it’s handled. All other data has been transferred. I posted on the forum but got no response. Also, once this is done can I delete my old blog?
