move blog from one domain to another

  Advance apologies if this has already been answered but I can find it! I have a purchased domain name for my blog 52at52.net. I would like to move that content/entire blog to another domain name (not yet purchased) and free up 52at52 for different content/different blog. Is this possible? I don’t want to do anything until I know I won’t mess up the existing blog. Basically, I want to change the name of the current blog 52at52 to something else and free up 52at52.net for another use. Thank you!

  Hi there,

  You can change your custom domain 52at52.net to point to another blog as you see fit! It’s pretty easy to point the domain to a different blog. If you’d like to point it at a new WordPress.com blog, you can simply transfer the mapping to your new blog.
