Move Categories to Top Menu

  I want to move my categories to the top menu. There are instructions on how to do so on this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ but it won’t work for me? Help!

  Did you select the menu you created with the categories as the “primary” in the theme locations pulldown and then save?
