I have a wordpress.org account and moved a domain to wordpress a few months back. I would like to transfer my blog/website content to an external hosting site as well as my domain. Are you able to assist me in how I may copy my wordpress site to an external hosting platform? Thanks in advance for your help. Alice.

As we only support blogs hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new blog–including the importing of the file–must be taken to the WordPress.org support community:

Thanks so much for your help. I can see on my blog that in “primary blog” in “peronal settings” that http://www.thewholedaily.wordpress.com is listed. Can you please help me understand why this would be the vase on a wordpress.org blog. Also when I post to my blog my followers get notified from wordpress.com. How is this happening if they are two separate operations? Kind Regards,
Alice. -
Once you’ve moved your blog to a self-hosted WordPress.org site, you can install the Jetpack Plugin. This plugin connects your self-hosted site to your WordPress.com account and allows me to move your subscribers/followers.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
