Move domain to Blogger
-
I didn’t realize WordPress limited functionality for paid ads and other features. I want to move the domain name I registered with WordPress to Blogger, which is tricky. Blogger wants me to change my CName file, everything here says I can’t do that. However, when I log into my domain account and click on ‘Total DNS Control’ it just tells me it’s temporarily unavailable.
So what should I do?

What is the URL we’re talking about here? You can’t move a domain name that includes .wordpress.com in it, but you can move a different one. The problem may be that you’re not allowed to move a domain for 60 days after registering it. That’s an American law, not something WP or Blogger has put in.

I registered my own url, it’s not a wordpress url. 60 days?? So I have to wait two months just to move my blog?

Adding a Cname record doesn’t have anything to do with US law, I’ve done it before with other registrars.

Why complain here? There’s nothing that volunteers in the forum can do about it. Have you contacted support as Tech suggested?

By the way, I believe the 60 days relates to changing hosts, not changing the pointing of the domain.
