Move domain without mapping

  I have a domain called “billectric.com” registered Yahoo. I want my WordPress blog to be registered as “billectric.com” but I don’t want to keep paying the other company, so mapping is not the solution. How can I get my .com domain away from Yahoo and over to WordPress?

  WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers. It’s either map and existing domain or not as that’s the only choice.

  Thanks for the info. That’s what I thought. WordPress is still the best.

  You can transfer the domain to another company that maybe you like better them map it here – even if you register a domain name you still need to pay the domain mapping upgrade – with other hosts the domain mapping charge is hidden in the regular hosting fees
