  how do we move followers from our wordpress.com blog (http://candidbelle.wordpress.com) to our new self hosted wordpress.org site (http://candidbelle.com/)

  I don’t know why you posted into two threads but I will go back to https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/transfer-subscribers-21?replies=8#post-1230757 and remove the tagging for Staff.

  Please understand that there are millions of us bloggers and few Staff. Staff deal with all support requests in dates order – earliest dates first. There are many others who posted before you did today and Staff will get to this thread as soon as they can. All you need to practice is patience because every time you bump this thread the date and time move forward making it take longer to get help.

  Quite aside form that if you used publicize to autopost to Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo, LinkedIn then the stats from those sites were added to your wordpress.com followers stats here http://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/?blog_subscribers thereby inflating them.

  There were only 11 followers subscribed to your candidbelle.wordpress.com blog. Are you perhaps referring to social media (Facebook/Twitter) followers?
