Whether or not it’s a public blog, we Volunteers cannot see into it. If it’s private then we see the sign-in box and we will know instantly if your are referring to a free hosted WordPress.com blog, or if your are among the 30% of lost WordPress.org bloggers who are posting to the wrong forum.

The supportbot is just trying to make sure that the site is actually hosted here at wordpress.com and not a self-hosted wordpress.ORG installation since the answers can be completely different and in many cases our answers will not apply to .ORG sites.
Given that you only created your username 8 minutes ago I would strongly suspect you are talking about a .ORG site and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ which is where self-hosted wordpress sites are supported.

Not to worry but it does take time and frequent posting to get search engine attention. You can use this process for blog verification withe the major search engines > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Note that WordPress.com automatically supplies sitemaps to search engines for our blogs and there’s nothing we have to do. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/

Thank you! Not exactly what I was talking about but will be useful in future. I’m a beginner at this. I realized that when you make changes to your site, it takes awhile for WordPress to activate. Right now I’m just trying to create a simple web site, currently working on cleaning up the appearance of the page so it doesn’t have all the extra posting stuff.
Thanks.
