Move Menu & Widget Positions (Trvl Theme)

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi there,

I am new to CSS and have no idea how to accomplish what I want:

    1) Move the footer, including the menu and it’s border, to the top and center of my site.
    2) Have the bottom widgets displayed vertically on the right-hand side.
    3) Keep the menu and side widgets static as the user scrolls down the page.

Any guidance on how to accomplish these features via CSS would be much appreciated, please help!!! :)

    Thank you,
    Lindsay

    Hi Lindsay,

We have tips for getting started with CSS here:

That last link is especially helpful for learning how to find your theme’s CSS and experiment with changes to make your theme look the way you want. :)

If you have CSS questions, most of our CSS support is done in the CSS Customization forum by expert staff and volunteers. They can help you learn more about CSS and figure out ways to make the specific changes you’re looking for.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

    Hi Rachel,

I feel pretty newbie right now, I can’t discern which part of the code is my main menu, and which part is my footer/widget area. Can you please take a look and help me out?

    Truly appreciate any insight.

    Thanks,
    Lindsay
