move my site from computer to live site
-
Hello, I have my site created on my computer using the Desktop server.
Now I would like to move it to my live site which has a free hosting on the wordpress.com.
For that, I’m trying to use FileZilla. But it’s asking Host and Port for connection.
1. Where can I get this information?
2. What would be your suggestions about moving my site from the computer to a live site?Thank you

Hello @nataliabarri,
WordPress.com does not offer FTP access to the sites hosted. There is a workaround for this. But before that, let me make it clear that you are currently using an open-source version of WordPress, from WordPress.org. It is a bit different from the WordPress.com service.
Here you can understand more about the differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com
Also, the free plan does not allow to use you any plugins or install your themes, unless of course, the same theme is available for you at WordPress.com. You can check for the available themes on WordPress.com here.
Once you have chosen a theme, you can follow this help document to import your site content from the local host/ computer to WordPress.com site.
I hope you find this helpful,
Regards,
