move old posts to new url?

    I am just starting to get my “sea-legs” on a new blog about memoir writing. I started out in jerrywaxler.wordpress.com, but upon reflection and advice, after only a few days, I decided to change to memorywriters.wordpress.com.

    This is a question about blog etiquette. Is it considered appropriate to simply copy the posts over from jerrywaxler.wordpress.com into memorywriters.wordpress.com? I am imagining that simply recopying posts might be cconsidered unfriendly, because it could be used to push up blog ratings. So I am asking for advice in advance.

    It’s my understanding, although I could be wrong, that Technorati will not give you links and ranking for duplicate posts in two different blogs at two different urls. You can export the posts out of one blog and import them the other. The how-to is in the FAQs http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/12/24/how-do-i-move-between-blogs/

    I’d say copy. You wrote them. I don’t see an issue with it.

    Technorati will see it as two seperate sites.
