Move post categories after a period of time

    Hi first of all thanks for your time. Is there any way to move posts from one categoty to another after a periot of time. I have two categories, a category named “under discussion” and one other named “closed”. I want after a period of time to move a post from one category to other. I know that there is a plugin named auto delete posts but i don’t want to delete but to move the post with all comments. Is there anything i can do?

    Here at wordpress.COM we run on different software than wordpress.ORG installs run on. We do not have FTP access to our blogs and we cannot install plugins into them.     If you are referring to a wordpress.COM blog then the answer is there is no automatic way to achieve what you want. The only way you can chive this is to edit and change the categories.

    I do NOT recommend breaking the URLs in category links as they will have been indexed by Google and what you will be creating strings of “404s” ie. (deleted – page not found).
