Move post to trash, edit it, and repost to blog

    I moved a blog post to my trash a few months ago. I want to repost it to my blog, but I’m worried my subscribers will get notified of it. I don’t want them to get notified again of a blog post I originally posted several months ago. Will my subscribers get an email that I reposted a blog post that I originally posted back in July?

    Hi there,

    As far as I know, it’s unlikely because the operation of moving from “trash” to “posts” is a restore operation; the post is question is already published, just not available.

    Notifications are only applied if the poster use the “publish” button.

    If it existed as a publicly published post at any time, it will not be re-sent to subscribers on a status change.
