Move recently registrated domain

  Hello,

  I’ve registered a new domain (www.georgelizos.com) 9 days ago, that I now want to transfer to FastDomain Inc. on BlueHost. However, the transfer is rejected saying I have to wait 52 more days to do so.

  I was wondering if there is a way to bypass this?

  No need to move – just change the name servers to the settings BlueHost needs – Blue host can give you the name server settings

  Change a Domain’s Name Servers

  The 60 days is an internet anti fraud thing to prevent theft of domain names

  Thank you auxclass. I did that already. It said it may take one or two days to transfer. After it does, will I be able to use that domain to start a new wordpress.ORG website? Currently, georgelizos.com is on wordpress.com, and I’m trying to move over to wordpress.org. However, whenever I try to create a .org website through bluehost with this domain, it just redirects me to my wordpress.com website.

  Transferring registrars will not change what you are seeing – it takes 24 to 72 hours for name server changes to reach the far corners of the internet. Changes usually start after a few hours During that time access will be erratic to your site. You will be the last one to see the changes because of of local caching issues

  I usually advise people to take a long walk during this time & have a couple of your favorite beverages :)

  http://georgelizos.com/ – loads to a new WordPress.ORG install with a mostly black tone for me, so sit tight and don’t change anything

  You can try clearing your browser cache & forcing a page reload

  Yes! It worked. I used a different browser and realized that It actually DID create the new website, I just couldn’t see it in Firefox. (ended up creating 5 different websites…)

  I’m now on .org and importing my .com blog.
