Move site on another host

  Hello to everyone,

  i have to move the site nessunofuorigioco.org to another host, moving from wordpress.com to a self-hosted version with wordpress package.
  I try on locale the export tool available on wordpress and following this site i know there is not a way to auto-export all the media files.
  Are there other solution to move media files?

  Hello, I don’t have experience with this, but I read on a support page that media files are transferred during the import phase. So you export your blog content to an xml file, then go to your new WordPress blog and import that file. It appears you’ll have an option at that point to “Download & import file attachments” from your old blog.

  Hello, thanks fot the answer. Maybe my problem was i tried on a wordpress running on my pc.
  I have another question: when i move the domain name to the new site, the old one is it available in some way? I need the old one on wordpress.org to match the content and right build the new one.

  Hello, yes your domain at WordPress.com (nessunofuorigioco.wordpress.com?) will still be available to you.
