Move Subscriber tool not showing any sites

Hi! Trying to move all of my subscribers from a wordpress.com to a self hosted site. I setup Jetpack on the self-hosted site and connected it to the same wordpress.com account as the original site. Unfortunately, when I get to the page where I should be able to move followers from another site, the dropdown menu does not show any sites that I can choose to move from. Am I doing something wrong?

  • Hi there!

It might be that another account owns the site you’re talking about. Could you please confirm the addresses of both sites? We’ll help you out.

Sure! Thank you. I believe they’re both owned by me, under this email address.

The site I’m trying to move *from*: https://projectqsydney.com/

The site I’m moving to: https://projectqsydney.wpengine.com/

Although, the site I’m moving to will eventually have the URL of the site I’m moving from, as soon as this migration of subscribers is complete.

  • Thanks for teh details. As I suspected, that site was created under a different account than the one you’re writing us from. You will need to log out and log in as sydneyciss to be able to manage projectqsydney.com.
Try connecting your new site to that same account, this should help.
If you’re having issues, we can move the subscribers for you but we would still need you to post from the correct account to do it.

Ah ha! Thank you! That worked perfectly. Cheers.
